Totally Biased Fan Review:
The Best is Yet to Come – Aimee Hannan EEP

VIEW ONLINE HERE

This is a mini best of, so far from Aimee. This young lady came to my attention quite a few moons ago and Bob and I played her music regularly.

Her story is as amazing as her powerful voice. If ever young people want a role model, Aimee is a great example of a young woman who beat all odds – many life threatening – to forge on and make the best of her life.

Aimee is courageous, bold and hugely talented. I don’t know where that voice comes from, but it should be bottled.

Better Off has that Drew McAlister touch and is a great way to open the EEP (more than 4 tracks, less than 10).

Brighter Side has Lyn Bowtell all over it and this co-write is a song of hope and light. Invisible is a tour de force and probably Aimee’s best known song – co-written with Gina Jeffreys and Makaylie Foodey.

Those co-writers are also involved with Lion In My Heart, a song which is very much Aimee and her attitude.

What the Hell You Waiting For is the only song on the EEP that Aimee hasn’t got a hand in but you would swear that it is written just for her.

A favourite of mine is Jose, Johnny, Jimmy and Jack. Who else would you write a drinking song with in Australia but Allan Caswell? Top shelf song, that.

Where I belong is another co-write with Gina and Makaylie and it is a very mellow and beautiful song. This is a perfect showcase for Aimee’s voice.

Rob and Wayne Hurry co-write this one with Aimee – The Best is Yet To Come is a great song to finish on. It is a hopeful, bright, happy song. It is a toe tapper and great singalong song.

The songs are produced by Rod Motbey and Bobby Kidd.

Aimee can sing anything and that big heart of hers shines through.

If you ever have a bad day or think that you can’t get through stuff, read about Aimee’s life and you will realise that anything is possible.

For this powerhouse, the best is, indeed, yet to come. Do yourself a favour.
